In a ceremony held at the Annual General Meeting at Intaic Headquarters in Delhi, INTAIC Bhilwara Convener and environmentalist Babulal Jaju was presented with the prestigious Aniruddh Bhargava Environment Award for 2025 at the national level for his outstanding contributions to environmental conservation. This award was given by the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTAIC) for his lifelong dedication, commitment, and impactful work.

 

In this function, INTACH Chairman Ashok Thakur, Member Secretary Dr. Ravindra Singh and Chapters Division Director Arvind Shukla honored Jaju by presenting him a memento, a certificate of appreciation and a cheque of Rs 1 lakh.

 

Jaju was accompanied on the occasion by his wife, Sushila Jaju, and daughter, Asmita Chaudhary. Jaju was selected based on his outstanding work at various INTACH chapters across the country, a testament to his consistent and dedicated efforts.

 

It is noteworthy that over the years, Jaju has played a key role in transforming environmental protection into a mass movement. He has accomplished remarkable work in areas such as wildlife conservation, the rejuvenation of rivers and water sources, widespread tree planting, forest protection, the restoration of water bodies, and increasing green cover. His contributions to animal welfare have also been commendable. On this occasion, INTACH Education Director Purnima Dutt and Natural Heritage Director Manu Bhatnagar, along with INTACH Chapter Conveners from across the country, extended their best wishes to Jaju.
